Today among the thousand gratitudes I am so very thankful for the funny and sweet surprises of our lives. For example, over the last couple of days my dog has learned to put her toys away in her basket. We didn’t teach her – she just delighted us with that a few days ago, and she has been practicing.

And it’s not an easy task – she loves long rope toys, and they’re hard to put away without opposable thumbs. But today she very patiently moved her rope toy inch by inch until the whole toy was tucked in with the others.

Who would not be delighted by such a dog?!
